Killer Message

What is 'Assassin'?:

Assassin (also Gotcha, Assassins, KAOS, Juggernaut, Battle Royal, Paranoia, Killer, Elimination, or Circle of Death) is a live-action game. Players try to eliminate each other from the game using mock weapons in an effort to become the last surviving player. In Killer Message the weapon is your cell phone.

A game host begin by advertising that a game is being set up and instruct potential players to send in their personal details. Once enough players have signed up, the each player is assigned a targets. The aim of the game is for players to track down and eliminate their targets until only one player remains. When a player eliminates their target, they get the victim's target. If only one player remains, the game is over.

Game creation:

You create a 'game' by sending text to 269-545-5376 (yes, that's 269-KILLER-6) saying 'create ' . For example:

If that game name isn't taken, it will create a new game instance and ask you to respond with your name and a current selfie.

Join a game:

You then tell your friends that you want them to join you in a game of Killer Message by having them text 'join ' to 269-545-5376. It will ask each of them for their name and selfie as well.

Starting a game:

When you are ready to actually start the game you text 'start' to the number and everyone who has registered will be sent the name and photo of their first target.

Once you 'start' a game no one else can join that game AND only the creator of a game can start it.

Game play:

When you find your target take a picture with your cell phone and send it to the number. The app will:

• send your target a message that he/she has been killed (which hopefully he/she realizes this since you just took a photo of him/her... but maybe not if you are being super stealthy)
• send you the name and photo of your target's target (aka your next target)
• send everyone else in the game your "kill shot" and letting them know that he/she was killed by you (so, you know, people start to FEAR you)

This keeps going until someone wins.

Other commands:

status

If you text 'status' the app will send you back a list of who is registered for that game and each player's current status (killed or alive). You can use this command after a game is 'created' before the game has 'started' to make sure that everyone you wanted to be in the game has joined it.

Please note:

Anyone can use 'status ' to get the status of a game they are not in or a previous game that has ended.

Text 'info' and the app will respond with instructions on how to play the game for new players.
